Thanks for the Soundcloud link, I’ll check it out. It somewhat relates to the next step. What I’ve been thinking is Bandcamp/Soundcloud to release “The Demo EPs”, six songs for a special price! As for an actual album, no thoughts so far. I’d say all of the songs thus far have been an improvement on their previous form and I already have a bunch of ideas regarding where they go next. I’m certainly getting better at using the tools so I expect things will evolve quite a bit by the time I get through the fifty songs.
When I was 14, I snuck out and joined some older fiends for a Vanilla Fudge concert. It was a life changing experience for me to see that the world could be much more interesting place than I had experienced to date. The liquid glass projections behind the band, the story behind the lyrics, the drum line keeping it all grounded, you reminded me of a significant event with 'What I Saw?' I plan on listening to it many more times. Great song!
Just a little aside on the video, it started with live sheep footage! But in the end, one of the segments was just too “hand held” so I decided to ditch it.
I’ve got some more sheep stuff somewhere which should be enough to help finish it off! I think there a mix of both, but mostly wool. It’s my friend’s property and he’s basically inherited this motley crew, including Lambo from us at one point, which is other story.
Thanks Gael. There was a Aussie band called the Lime Spiders and I remember seeing a liquid glass projection for the first time when I saw them. I’ve been fascinated ever since. I love lava lamps, too! Vanilla Fudge at 14 would have been cool! I used to do projections for bands and dance parties, with this clip utilising one of my “older” technologies.
